Paratore Brothers Scholarship at Boston University
In 1992, Boston University and the Italian American Committee of the Massachusetts Quincentennial Commission, organized by Honorable Joseph V. Ferrino, co-sponsored and invited us to perform a duo piano concert at BU’s Tsai Performance Center. The proceeds from that evening were used to seed the establishment of a permanently endowed Paratore Brothers Scholarship at Boston University, our alma mater. Having studied ourselves at Boston University’s College of the Arts, we were reminded how rewarding it was for us to be in a stimulating musical environment where we were able to hone our musical abilities for a performing career. After many years of achieving our own musical goals as duo pianists, we wanted to give a chance to future music students by establishing a music scholarship at our alma mater, Boston University.

The Paratore Brothers Scholarship provides annual awards to deserving students at the College of Fine Arts School of Music. This scholarship enables the recipients to reduce the financial burden of higher education. Pictured above are some of the scholarship recipients: Pierre-Nicolas Colombat, 2019/20; Man Lai Lei, 2018; Michael Balangue and Edoardo Carpenedo, 2016/2017; and Han Nah Son, 2015.

Please consider joining us in helping deserving students on their way to a career in music by donating to the Paratore Scholarship Fund. We would be most grateful.
